The official naming of Barney’s Bridge

Well 2025 has certainly started with a bang that’s for sure and recently it feels like everyone has been talking about just one thing. That’s right, Barney’s Bridge ! You may have seen the new sign that the council put up a few days ago, but on Monday there will be a small ceremony to officially name the bridge. There will be bunting. There will be a chance to meet Barney’s owner. There’s even going to be a guest appearance from Pam-Pecko Smith singing some Jazz.

Everyone is welcome to pop along. We do hope you can join us to celebrate and remember Barney, possibly GRH’s most famous resident.
