Recognising the value of this picturesque spot, full of historical interest and rich with many elegant and interesting listed buildings, a small group of residents formed the GRH Residents’ Association. The objective was to be actively involved in the conservation of the locality and this remains the focus today.

A committee of about 10 residents manages the Association. Membership is open to all people living in the three streets that comprise the GRH – Gentleman’s Row, River View and Holly Walk. In addition, we also have associate membership available to households in streets surrounding the streets. The current membership fee is £10 per household for the year (£5 associate membership).

These funds help to support annual events such as the summer party and Christmas gathering, as well as community events including the New River Clean Up & Litter Pick and placing Hanging Baskets in the area in the summer months.
